Chandra

ChandraChandra Beaveridge is a fourth year computer engineering student. She is interested in computer vision and electronics. Her involvement with the Garden Gnome Drone project included:

  • motion sensor implementation
  • initial project design
  • drone flight testing
  • documentation
  • computer vision design and implementation

Chandra currently works for University Systems in Development Services at the University of Victoria. She will graduate in April 2012.

Alex

AlexAlex Greig is a fourth year electrical engineering student at the University of Victoria, specializing in electronics. His involvement with the Garden Gnome Drone project included:

  • initial project design
  • drone movement (computer vision)
  • drone takeoff/landing
  • testing
  • documentation

After completing coursework in April, Alex will explore career opportunities in integrated circuitry / system-on-chip design.


Isaac

IsaacIsaac Butt is a fourth year computer systems engineering student at the University of Victoria. His involvment with the Garden Gnome Drone project included:

  • initial project design
  • infrastruture support
  • website design and maintenance
  • poster design
  • documentation

After graduation in April, Isaac will be joining the Information Systems team as a Systems Engineer at Victoria software company Latitude Geographics.


Doug

DougDouglas de la Mare is a fourth year Electrical Engineering student from the Yukon. He specializes in Electrical Energy Systems. His involvement with the Garden Gnome Drone project includes:

  • charging design and implementation
  • planning
  • documentation
  • poster design
  • presentations

Douglas will be graduating in April 2012 with hopes to work in the utility industry.


Mark

MarkMark Schurer is an electrical engineering student specializing in electrical energy systems at the University of Victoria. His tasks on the Garden Gnome Drone includes:

  • charging design and implementation
  • planning
  • documentation
  • testing

After completing his final co-op term, Mark will graduate in August 2012. He plans on returning to Calgary to start his engineering career.
